Procurement services are routinely provided by INTEC in support of Marine Terminal projects, including the preparation of material requisitions and bid packages, prequalification of suppliers, obtaining and evaluating bids, and the preparation of purchase orders or contracts for Client signature. Follow-up is provided through technical review of vendor detailed design, shop and plant inspection, expediting of transport and delivery, and processing of vendor invoices. Where needed INTEC coordinates with certification agencies.

In the area of construction contracting it is INTEC's philosophy that a competitive climate should be maintained in order to obtain the lowest installation cost. In developing a contracting strategy INTEC will consider how offshore installation activities can be combined to minimize multiple mobilizations for mooring installation, pipelaying, and other construction activities.

INTEC will prepare qualification inquiries, propose recommended bidders, prepare and issue construction tender documents, obtain and evaluate bids, recommend a preferred contractor, and assist in contract negotiations.
