The following described benefits are specific to INTEC's head office in Houston, Texas. However, full-time INTEC employees in other countries enjoy a variety of similar benefits.
Health and Dental Benefits
INTEC employees are eligible for health and dental coverage on their first day of employment. INTEC Engineering provides a comprehensive Medical plan with the option of a PPO plan, which offers considerable savings to the employee by utilizing the PPO network. It also offers a national prescription service. Additionally, INTEC provides a Dental plan for preventive dental care and protection against extraordinary dental expenses. The plan pays all or a portion of eligible expenses for a wide range of services and gives you the option of going to the dentist of your choice. Employees and their eligible dependents can also participate in a Vision Care plan.
Life, Disability and Accidental Coverage
All INTEC employees have a life benefit on their first day of employment. STD (short term disability) and LTD (long term disability) coverage is also available. All regular full-time employees are also entitled to accidental death and dismemberment.
Section 125 Benefits
Through IRS code, Section 125, all premiums paid by employees for medical, dental and vision coverage can be pre-tax items. To help reduce the burden of associated medical care costs, INTEC offers employees the opportunity to establish a Flexible Spending Account, a voluntary plan into which employees can contribute pre-tax dollars to pay certain medical and dependent care expenses, including deductibles and co-payment amounts.
Profit Sharing and Retirement Plan (401 K)
INTEC's (401 K) plan allows eligible employees to contribute pre-tax dollars to assist in attaining financial security at retirement. Employees are eligible to participate on the first day of the month following the first day of their employment, or on reaching age 21, if this is later. Employees may contribute a ninimum of 1% of their base compensation and up to a maximum annually defined by Section 415 by the IRS. At INTEC's discretion, the company will match up to a maximum percentage set forth by INTEC.
EVA Incentive System
To reward value creation within INTEC, all regular full-time employees of INTEC participate in the company's annual EVA Incentive System. Bonuses are based upon a percentage of the employees base salary and are dependent upon actual results of the INTEC Group.
EAP (Employee & Family Assistance Program)
INTEC is committed to maintaining a safe, healthy and efficient working environment for its employees. An Employee Assistance Plan for employees and their dependents is provided at no cost. This free, confidential counseling, assessment and referral service is immediately available to employees and their family.
Time Off With Pay
INTEC wants employees to achieve a balance in their work and personal lives. To assist in this endeavor, INTEC provides 56 hours of paid sick leave benefits each year to all regular full-time employees for periods of temporary absence due to a personal or immediate family illness or injury. Regular, full-time employees are also eligible for 120 hours paid vacation per calendar year, 160 hours after 5 years of service. Additionally, INTEC recognizes 8 holidays each year. Employees will be given a day off with pay for each holiday observed. In addition to these, INTEC implements a 9/80 compressed work week, enabling employees to enjoy every other Friday off!
